Piscadera baai
Piscadera Bay is a calm inland water and one of the island's most important mangrove ecosystems.
This tour takes us deep into the sheltered bay, where the mangroves form a natural maze along the shoreline. Their twisted roots create a unique underwater world that serves as a nursery for young fish, crabs, seabirds, and many other forms of marine life. The mangroves also protect the coastline and help keep the surrounding coral reefs healthy and alive.
As we quietly paddle through the bay, we often spot herons hunting in the shallows, pelicans diving for fish, and even turtles may surface beside the kayaks. The peaceful atmosphere here feels far away from the busy island outside the bay.
Depending on the conditions, we can discover small hidden beaches, or paddle toward the open sea to experience the contrast between the calm bay and the Caribbean Sea.
A relaxing and nature-focused tour filled with birdlife, reflections on the water, and the quiet beauty of Curaçao's mangroves.
